Great Trattoria with good cookings. Slightly away from the touristy spot that make it less crowded which is perfect! Excellent service from the staffs and was easily made comfortable even dining in solo. Charming server who will give you some good recommendations. The owner was excellent as well, I was surprised that I was given some deduction on my final bills.

We had the Cured Meats/Liver/Cheese appetizer, Giant Salad, and most importantly the steak fillet. The appetizer was very good and hearty, salad was just fine, but wow the steak fillet was just spectacular. At 20 euros, I considered it highway robbery…what a deal. Right up there as one of the best steaks I’ve ever had; cooked rare, the meat was so tender and just the right amount of marbled and bloody. Damn great. We walked in but might want to make a reservation since most who walked in after us around 9pm were having to wait or turned away.

Simply outstanding! La Gratella was recommended for our group of 6 by our hotel staff and truly lived up to the expectations. It’s a cozy restaurant with a simple menu, and the food was incredible. The staff went the extra mile to be welcoming, attentive and made us feel at home. Loved the steak served on a grill at the table, risotto, lemon ravioli, pear fondue ravioli and those roasted potatoes! I would go here again when in Florence next.

You feel like you belong and have been a member of their family for a long time. The staff greets you with smiles and makes you feel at home. The food takes your taste buds on an Italian relaxing holiday that makes you want more. Very well done.

I have already visited La Gratella a few times and I must admit that it is the best restaurant I have been to in Italy! Delicious food, AMAZING service, had a great time here. I definitely recommend it (and not once, because they have a lot of delicious dishes, I highly recommend the steak), greetings to the entire staff, you are wonderful people!

Divine Tuscan food ❤ Staff are so nice and helpful. Antonio together with his colleages made our nights so special. we stayed a week in Florence and we went to eat there 3 times. We are from Malta but when in Florence will visit again for sure.

Our study abroad group wanted a fancy night out on a budget and this place was perfect for a slight splurge! The staff was able to communicate in English and Spanish and they were very accommodating. The truffle ravioli was AMAZING! The filet was seasoned very well. We definitely recommend! Thank you for such a great night!

My family had an amazing Tuscan dinner experience at La Gratella. It came highly recommended in Florence as THE restaurant to visit and it surpassed our expectation by miles. Ravioli al limone crema di Tartufo and fagottini di pecorino made with your custom sauces and recipe were heavenly - glad we stuck to recommendations. Desert of patate arrosto and dolci melted in the mouth. Thank you for this amazing experience.

This restaurant is like a tardis, it looks tiny from the outside but seems to go on forever inside. Ordered drinks and mains from a friendly waiter, we had a good banter with him in our broken English and Italian. Ordered steak slices and fillet steaks, we weren’t asked how we wanted the steak cooked, when my steak slices came they were quite rare (I normally have medium) I was quite surprised at how much I actually enjoyed the meal, the steak was fab! Both fillets were rare and were delicious. There’s a great atmosphere in the restaurant and you don’t feel you have to leave as soon as you are finished.

It was very busy when we arrived so had to wait 10 minutes or so to be seated. We were given a free glass of prosecco to have while we waited, which was so kind as we were happy to wait anyway! Our waiter was so nice and was happy to speak both English and French to my boyfriend and I when he found out where we each were from, and was also happy to give recommendations on the menu. We didn't eat too much as we were having a very late dinner, but the first course pasta dishes were lovely. All the staff were so friendly and made us feel very welcome.

We made a reservation at Trattoria La Gratella based on an online review. My husband wanted to have Florentine steak and this restaurant features this dish. The restaurant was small and comfortable. The service and food were excellent.

In the place of the “bisteca fiorentina”, what to do when you think they serve it too raw? This restaurant brings it to the table in a small barbecue device and you can cook it a little more on your take. The meat was extremely good, soft and tasty. Excellent!

As soon as we arrived, we were very well treated and the waiter was very friendly and highly professional! The food is very good, i got a steak and my wife the pastas stuffed with lemon and truffles, everything was perfect. I recommend getting the T bone steak (that i couldn't get as at least two people's must order it from the table), which looked magnificent! I recommend strongly!

A must go! The staff is incredibly friendly and the food delicious and extremely reasonable. Save your Florentine steak for this place. They serve it on hot coals at your table. You won’t regret it!

This place has wonderful service, a fun and laid back environment and the best food and wine you can possibly imagine. The steak and pasta both were the best I’ve had! If you have the opportunity to visit this restaurant do yourself a favor and go!

Found this sweet restaurant through a recommendation and it did not disappoint. Servers were very welcoming and helpful; wine list was fantastic and the food was great (Florentine steak with authentic drama). Glad to have found my go-to spot.

This restaurant was suggested by our hotel owner. Usually we prefer fish over meat and clearly this place’s speciality is meat. But we ordered a vegetarian ravioli and a fish dish. It was absolutely amazing, the service even better! Definitely a must visit!
